Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Sclera.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sclera (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Public Beta

Sclera is currently in public beta. The Service is provided free of charge during this period, but paid plans will be introduced in the future. During the beta phase, features may change, be added, or be removed without notice. Data stored in the Service, including projects, scenes, and assets, may be erased or reset at any time without prior notice. By using the Service during the beta period, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.

3. Description of Service

Sclera is a web-based 2D animation studio that allows users to create, edit, and export animations through a browser-based editor. The Service includes project management, scene editing, asset libraries, and export functionality.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant Sclera a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your User Content for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (b) infringe on the intellectual property rights of others; (c) upload or transmit malicious code or content; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; (e) interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or (f) use the Service for any purpose that is harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Sclera and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sclera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
